Non avete mai fatto caso al bastoncino che c'è all'interno, per poter prendere i datteri dalla scatola?
Ebbene sì, è proprio "quel" bastoncino...mi piaceva troppo e ho pensato di farci il bastone del mio ombrellino... chiaramente ho accorciato a misura e affilato il puntale!
Il tessuto è invece un fazzolettino di seta, di quelli che avvolgono i confetti delle bomboniere..
Ne è venuto fuori un ombrellino parasole da signora un pò.... "esotico".. ah ah!!

RispondiEliminaJust at the regular grocery store here in the USA. I'm not sure, but, I think dates are only around during the Christmas holiday? Not sure.
I never look for them at any other time of the year.
I'm a lazy eater, I don't buy anything that has the pits in it. ;)
My grandmother used to make our version of fruit cake, which was just dates and nuts, not the kind that everyone always seems to complain about. ;)
It's really good with cream cheese or butter on slices. :)
She also used to stuff the dates with walnuts and then roll them in sugar. What a delight!!! But, only at Christmas. :)

the dates stuffed with walnuts and rolled in sugar will also do I, as well as dried figs, here in southern Italy suffered egregiously the proximity of the Arab countries and Africa, place of origin of these sweet fruits!
